I'm going to paste in the last post that was made so you can get an idea on where we stand.

Although the Fanpaler is quite evasive, it IS injured. The ferocity in Keelan's eyes itself withers the Fanpaler away to nearly nothing. The swords cut deep into the fruity flesh (I've always wanted to say that) and nearly fell the Fanpaler. Some fruit falls off of the [HOME ECONOMICS ROCK!!!] body of the Fanpaler.

The Fanpaler, sensing danger, tries to limp off the battlefield.

The battle stands. Keelan has 25 HP, and the Fanpaler has 5 HP.

Keelan dramatically rolls one panel over to the fruit in a pirate-y manner, and picks it up. He then attempts to slash at the Fanpaler in a two-hit combo.

The two sword slices cut straight through the juicy meat of the Fanpaler. It stays in place for a few seconds due to momentum, then slowly slides in half. There is a squelch as it hits the ground, and a clink.
The battlefield lowers back to normal and the boy has run off, nowhere to be seen. What do you do now?

Groaning, Keelan says, "What a waste of time." Gazing out at the Shya hills, he looks for 'interesting' paths.

There is a path leading back into the open sections of the Golong. Alternately, there is a path that leads somewhere deeper into the Shya Hills. A red glow seems to be emanating from this path...

"LOLWUTREDSTUFFZ!" screams Keelan as he runs towards the red glow.

OoC: (0_0)

The red glow seems to get brighter as Keelan runs towards the source of it. The walls narrow and the sky seems to darken from its usual bright blue. With a thunderclap, it begins to rain. The red glow seems to get not brighter, but stronger. The glow seems to be emanating from behind an outcrop. There are also some shelter like things scattered around, about half the size of Keelan.

"LOLROFLGNOMES?", thinks Keelan solemnly. He peeps his head into the entrance of one of the shelters.

It's not gnomes he finds, but three Grigworms! One flies out with a Grigtackle and knocks Keelan flat on his back. (-1 HP) It seems riled up by something. The universe, sensing a battle, created a battle pedestal for the Grigworm and Keelan.

Grigworm is affected by summoning sickness. It does not move. The battle stands. Keelan has 28 HP, and the Grigworm has 20 HP.

"Frick. These Grigworms are strong.", warns Pirateman. Groaning, Keelan replies, "I've noticed Look at their HP." He walks up near the grigworm.

The Grigworm lunges at Keelan but misses. The battle stands. Keelan has 27 HP, and the Grigworm has 20 HP.

Keelan slices twice at the griggly, then uses his special attack; point blank. Bam.

The grigworm is hit by the two slices, each inflicting 2 damage, and the shot tears through its delicate flesh under the armor it wears for 6 damage.

The grigworm, although injured, rams Keelan again for 3 damage. The battle stands. The Grigworm is at 10 HP, and Keelan is at 25 HP.

Keelan buffs up, and attempts to slashe two X's into the grigworm: a total of four attacks.

Keelan's slices connect, one X completely obliterating the armor and the other dealing 6 damage to the Grigworm.

Tensing its body for one last charge, the Grigworm coils and springs, charging and landing a critical hit on Keelan for 6 damage. The battle stands. The Grigworm is at 4 HP [!] and Keelan is at 19 HP.

Keelan kills the grigworm. Ok?

"Kill" misses.

The Grigworm, now energized by its opponent's failure, charges anew and slams Keelan's stomach for 3 damage. The battle stands. The grigworm is at 4 HP [!] and Keelan is at 16 HP.

Keelan takes four swipes at the grigworm.

*Various grotesque squishing noises* Let us suffice to say, the grigworm is thoroughly dead. The ground returns to its natural height, and the other grigworms cower in front of the imposing man. One scribbles forward and offers a large ruby-studded crown. The other grigworms watch expectantly.

Proudly, Keelan grabs the crown and dons it. He makes a happy face. ^w^

The grigworms watch in amazement as their new king twists his face into a "^w^". Shaking off this shock, the front line of Grigs pulls Keelan in to the hut. There, they flip open a large chest. Inside is the corpse of a Gorus Herb. The gathered grigworms shrink back in terror and hiss at it. The front Grig looks up at Keelan with six pleading eyes.

OoC: I'm going to make Vii sound more like a pirate from now on. You typo'd in your last post, BTW.

Surprised, Vii dodges back a step or two. When he notices the menacing tree is dead, he relaxes. Half expecting an answer from Pirateman and half from the grigworms, Vii speaks out loud, "Well, what do ye expect me t' do? Eyeball 't?"

The Grigworm who seems the most in charge shakes its head violently, then makes some broad gestures with its stubbly legs. One gesture Vii does recognize, however, is an overarm jabbing motion-- unmistakable for "kill", then it points towards the Gorus Herb.

The small red beast appears frustrated. It is about to continue gesticulating when a large WHOOM! is heard outside, followed by a creaking laugh. A grigworm rips through the small construct and lands in front of Vii, quivering. All of the grigworms in the room begin to despair, and each curls into a defensive spiky ball. "Well, we might as well check it out," sighs Pirateman.

Attempting to communicate his message, Viiqupaen points his sword towards the area where the twitching grigworm flew from. "What's yer intention, unknown beast who I cannot see!?"

The grigworm is dead.

OoC: Are you kidding me? I didn't even stab it. At least give me some more information. >_<

EDIT: Nevermind.

"Mortal!" booms a voice from far overhead. It seems the voice is not heard, but rather felt. "These grigworms have been terrorized by Gorus Herbs for as long as their history can trace. It started as a simple feud between the Delta Beetles and the Grigworms, but as time passed, the beetles found their ability to become Gorus Herbs quite a battle edge. In the Great Insect War of 1292, the Grigworms were brutally beaten back and their cities sacked. They were left without food, shelter, anything- the Delta Beetles were too ferocious. To this day, the Grigworms have become nomadic; not to find food, but to find respite from the relentless Delta Beetles. You, my son. You are their savior. Go forth, now, and defeat this evil curse that plagues the Grigworms!"

Was that... Yolis, the elder god of the hunt?

"Yolis! That was Yolis, the elder god of the hunt! (OoC: )" blares Pirateman.
Vii paces tentatively towards the exit of the Grig Hut, and...
