In ancient times, this cavern was home to multitudes of species, great and small. A race evoloved beyond the others, however. The squids. They developed organized religion. This leads to corruption and wars, like Christianity, and the squids began fighting the other speicies. They worshipped Dulumbruth, the god of Darkness. He gave them strength in return for tribute. Eventually, the squids believed they could challenge Dulumbruth. He imprisoned them within their own minds, and possessed their bodies for his own use. He spread darkness though the cave that had once been lit by Lumon mushrooms, a semi-intelligent race of mushrooms, and Gloam fish. Dulumbruth enslaved the Lumons and trapped the Gloams to keep as pets. Now it is up to adventurers to free the minds of the squids, free the bodies of the Lumons, and rescue the Gloams!!!
